Pictures of the Mississippi River at flood stage at Dubuque, IA. These were taken along the river walk at the
Port of Dubuque. Notice several places where the water is over steps going down to the river bank. Also some
pictures of the buildings making up the Port area as well as the city.
The first bridge goes from Dubuque to Illinois. The second is a railroad bridge. The third bridge goes to Wisconsin.
I grew up on 23rd Avenue in San Francisco. When I saw this sign I had to stop and get a picture.
This 23rd Avenue is quite a bit different than the one I grew up on.
These next three pictures are of the Missouri River between Iowa and Nebraska.
Not quite as flooded as the Mississippi was.
This is a picture of the new library in Schuyler, NE. (pronounced "Sky-ler"). I was amazed at the size of the building.
Schuyler's population is only about 6000
This is where I stayed in Schuyler, NE.
The trees were in full bloom when I returned home.
